Bangor 1876 volunteers Mandy and Mark Davies will be at the Cardiff City Stadium next week to cheer on Wales against Turkey thanks to a FAW scheme to reward those who give up their time to support clubs across Wales.

Ahead of next week’s game, the national governing body for football here in Wales set aside a group of tickets for volunteers and invited clubs to send in their nominations. Mandy and Mark were nominated due to their constant willingness to help ensure that things run smoothly on matchdays.

Mandy and Mark will be familiar faces to a great many people who have followed our club since its creation and play a valuable role on matchdays. Since our first games at Treborth, Mandy has been a busy figure behind the scenes. She regularly helped run the cafe and has helped to ensure that officials and players are provided with refreshments at half-time and full-time. Mark has shown a constant willingness to brave all weathers when helping to direct traffic in the car park and also helped out with stewarding.

We are delighted to see Mandy and Mark receive this well deserved recognition for the time they have devoted to helping out at our club right from the beginning. As a fan-owned club, we owe our existence to our supporters and are tremendously grateful to all those who volunteer and provide assistance that has enabled us to get to where we are today.
