Match Preview

Sunday will see the senior team bring their league season to a close with an away match versus Llanystumdwy. With at least a guaranteed third placed league finish already secured, the team will be looking to continue their recent unbeaten run of form and end the season with a win.

Leading up to the game, manager Aron Griffith commented :

"We're really looking forward to what will be our final game of the season.

Llanystumdwy are an ever improving side. They have excellent players who work hard for each other so again this is no easy game for us. We fully expect another competitive match.

We've enjoyed our games against them this season. They've been good matches, played in the right way. Thankfully we've come out on top and been able to come away with a result.

Having said that, we hope to end this season on a high but more importantly with a good performance. We had a really good training session this week and the team have been playing well in recent games so let’s try to carry this on to the end. That's the challenge we've set them.

I've every confidence that the team can go out there and perform to the levels that we all know they can and come away with a result. However this will only happen if we approach the game in the right way with the right attitude and endeavour.

Anway, whatever happens on Sunday, I'm really proud of this team given we only played our first friendly back in May 2021. What they've achieved as a collective this season from a standing start is impressive and we've come a long way together.

We've had a good first season in this league with much more positives than negatives which should hold us in good stead as we start to prepare for next season and beyond."
