Sunday will see the team travel to Shotton to take on a strong Northop side in the second of four away games that will bring our first league season to a close on 8th May.
Looking to carry on where they left off against a spirited Llangefni, the team will be desperate to get another win under their belts and continue the league run-in on a high.
Having won against them 2-1 at home in a tight game back in November thanks to two early goals in the first 15 mins from Jordan and Ceri Lois, Northop proved themselves to be tough opposition with quality players. During that game 1876 had to show real character and fight with grit and determination to grind out that win in the end against a difficult and dangerous Northop who posed us a few problems on the day.
Speaking ahead of the game, manager Aron Griffith commented:
"After last weeks win over a competitive and hard working Llangefni side, our focus has shifted over to this weekends match which will be another very tough game against Northop.
The last time around they made it a difficult one to get the 3 points, and no doubt it will be really tough one again on Sunday. We expect nothing less.
Having said that I have every confidence the girls can go out and execute our game plan and brings us the win. I need us to take those excellent, positive things from last weeks second half performance particulary and play our football from the off. We're excited for Sunday and looking forward to the challenge, it not going to be easy but we're ready and up for it.
I've said it before we need to finish this season on a high as we start to build for next season."
