Next up for the seniors on Sunday will be an away trip along the A55 to take on Holywell in the league. The team will be looking to bounce back and move on quickly from last week’s disappointing result.
In the run-up to this weekend's game, manager Aron Griffith had this to say:
"I’ve been really looking forward to Sundays game. It couldn’t come around quick enough for me after last week’s game to be fair. Holywell are a tough side with skilful players and we won’t be underestimating them. We have to approach the game in the right way as we expect another hard game.
As a group we’ve reflected individually and collectively on our defeat against Welshpool last weekend and worked on the things that needed to be adjusted in training this week ready for Sunday’s match. I think we need take that second half performance from last week and build on it from the off and I’m confident we’ll see a positive reaction from the team.
The home game against them just before Christmas was a competitive match and I think we only got going once they scored. We can’t afford to do that again otherwise we’ll get punished and come away with nothing . There are no easy games in this league and we play to win as always. Whatever happens we know that if we want those 3 points we need to perform and work hard to earn them.”
