On a bright but chilly St. David's Day afternoon by the Menai Strait, the two sides largely cancelled each other out in the early stages. The first chance fell to Llandudno’s in-form striker Mark Cadwallader in the tenth minute but he hooked the ball narrowly wide after a cross from the right.
With fifteen minutes on the clock, a neat pass by James Barry found Liam Morris inside the box. He shot from a tight angle.but visiting goalkeeper Cameron Darling saved well.
However, it wasn't long before the deadlock was broken. A minute later, a free kick was swung into the box and Tom Clarke poked the ball over the line from close range after it was headed back across goal.
The Bangor lead didn't last long as the visitors broke from the kick-off and Harvey Bennett levelled the score after the ball was played in from the right wing.
With 27 minutes played, Bangor regained the lead. Llandudno cleared a corner but Liam Morris regained possession 25 yards out. He took one touch to control the ball before firing in a powerful low shot that went in off the post.
Inside the last ten minutes of the opening period, Liam came close to doubling Bangor's advantage. He showed pace to break into the right side of the box but his low shot across goal went inches wide of the target.
Llandudno thought they had equalised for the second time five minutes before the break after the ball was headed in following a free-kick on the left. However, the goal was disallowed due to offside. From another set-piece, Mark Cadwallader saw a header strike the post and rebound to safety.
The visitors we're not to be denied and again drew level when Harvey Bennett netted from close range after the ball was hooked across goal from the right.
HALF-TIME: BANGOR 1876 2-2 LLANDUDNO
After an even start to the second period, the visitors took the lead for the first time in the 59th minute. Ben Maher swung a free-kick into the box from the right and Mark Cadwallader scored with a downward header.
On a quick break within a minute of the kick-off, the visitors had a great chance to extend their advantage but Alex Boss couldn't direct his shot on target.
Midway through the second half, Bangor came close to levelling thr score after some indecision in the Llandudno defence but Corrig McGonigle’s hooked effort went narrowly wide.
Inside the last fifteen minutes, Bangor pressed for an equaliser and forced a series of corners. From the second of these, substitute Iolo Hughes headed narrowly wide.
Bangor continued to press as the clock ticked down but we're unable to find an equaliser in front of a crowd of over 500 spectators.
