Second half goal defeats Alex

After a quiet start to the game, Mold had the first shot on target in th twelfth minute when Jake Roberts fired in a powerful low effort after breaking into the left side of the penalty area. However, Carl Jones managed to parry his shot before diving on the loose ball.

After 25 minutes, Jones saved a shot by Joe Ormrod from just inside the box and shortly afterwards Jake Roberts curled a shot narrowly wide from just outside the box. The visitors continued to press a glancing header by Henry Nash following a cross on the right by Roberts went wide of the far post.

Seven minutes before the break Mold had another chance when Joshua Watkin broke into box but Carl Jones used his feet to block the left back’s shot. Shortly afterwards, Samuel Duffy had a chance when he broke into the right side of the box but his attempt was deflected wide for a corner.

At the other end, Corrig McGonigle had Bangor's first shot at goal four minutes before the interval after getting on the end of a long ball forward. He attempted a chip from just outside the penalty area but couldn't get enough elevation on his effort, allowing Alex Swindell to save comfortably.

In first half injury time, Joe Culshaw played the ball into the box following a corner but Tom Clarke headed over. Moments later, Cai Powell-Roberts player the ball into the box from the right and Craig Whelan’s shot was parried by Swindell. There were no further chances in the opening period as the teams returned to the dressing rooms with the score goalless.

Bangor changed shape for the second half with Sam Jones replacing Iolo Hughes for the second period. In the 57th minute, Joe Culshaw swung a free-kick into the box from the left wing and a glancing header by Corrig McGonigle was turned round the post at full stretch by Swindell.
Just after the hour mark, Culshaw swung another free-kick into the box but Tom Clarke's header landed on top of the net. Within a minute, Bangor forced another chance. Sam Jones crossed from the left but the onrushing Dale Davies headed over the bar.

Bangor did have the ball in the net after 65 minutes when Tom Clarke turned the ball home after Swindell pushed out a shot by Dion Jones but the goal was disallowed due to offside.

Within a minute, Bangor did manage to take the lead. Swindell saved a header from Corrig McGonigle but Dale Davies slammed in the rebound with a powerful shot.

Mold seemed spurred into action by falling behind and Carl Jones did well to tip a powerful shot by Henry Nash over the bar following a quick break. Not long afterwards, Jones had to again show sharp reflexes as he palmed away a goalbound free-kick from Jake Roberts.

Inside the last ten minutes, substitute Liam Morris had a chance on a quick counter attack after he was picked out by an excellent pass by McGonigle but Swindell blocked his shot.

As the clock ticked down, Bangor went in search of a second goal whilst Mold pressed for an equaliser. It was a tense finish but Bangor held on for the win.
