At 7.45pm on Friday 15 March, we welcome Mold Alexandra to Nantporth for our second last home league game of the season.
Mold are in fourth position in the league and have been on a good run of form recently, thanks in part to the goalscoring exploits of Daniel Warren. Warren has scored sixteen league goals this season, half of which have come since the start of 2024. He also found the net four times in a 5-1 win against Denbigh Town in the Welsh Blood Service League Cup at the end of January.
We traveled to face Mold in a league match back in August, and on that occasion the hosts won 3-1. They opened the scoring via Daniel Warren in the first half shortly before Sam Jones failed to take advantage of a chance to equalize from the penalty spot. Corrig McGonigle equalised in first half injury time but a second half goal from Samuel Duffy and a late own goal by Dan Cox meant that the team from Flintshire took all three points.
We don’t have a game on the weekend of Saturday 23 March but will return to action on Thursday 28 March when we are away to Denbigh Town in a league match that starts at 7.30pm We then play at home to Llandudno Town on Easter Monday (1 April, 2.30pm). We will conclude our first season in tier 2 with away trips to Guilsfield (Saturday 6 April, 2.30pm) and Llanidloes (Saturday 13 April, 2.30pm).
Please come along to support our team as we seek to finish the season in a positive manner.
