On Friday 6 October at 7.30pm, we welcome Holywell Town to Nantporth for another league match under lights.
It may seem a long time ago now, but our first competitive match of this season was away to Holywell Town in the Nathaniel MG Cup on 22 July. On that occasion, we came back from a goal behind to win an exciting contest 3-2 thanks to goals from Corrig McGonigle, Iolo Hughes, and an own goal.
Since then, Holywell have been in great form. They are currently top of the league having taken 19 out of a possible 21 points. It is only within the last fortnight that they dropped league points for the first time this season, drawing 1-1 away to Flint Town United. Last weekend, they returned to winning ways with a 3-1 victory at home to Caersws.
An exciting encounter is to be expected, so please come along to Nantporth this Friday if you can.
On Saturday 14 October, we will be in Welsh Cup action against Cefn Albion. Although we were initially drawn away to the side we beat in last season’s play-off final, scheduling and ground availability issues mean that this encounter is now likely to take place here in Bangor at Nantporth with a 2.30pm kick-off on Saturday 14 October.
