On Friday 8 September at 7.30pm we return to league action with an away trip to face Ruthin Town. The match will take place at the Memorial Fields in Ruthin and the postcode for the ground is LL15 1PH. A map of its location can be found online here: https://www.pitchero.com/clubs/ruthintown/contact.
Although we will be playing in Ruthin for the first time, we will be facing opponents that we encountered at Treborth almost four years ago during our first season. On that occasion, Ruthin Town ended our highly memorable first ever Welsh Cup run with a 2-0 victory thanks to goals by Kevin Evans and Llyr Morris.
At the time of writing, Ruthin occupy tenth position in the league after one win, two draws and two defeats. Last weekend, their impressively won 3-1 away to Porthmadog in the Welsh Blood Service League Cup. Llyr Morris scored twice and also provided an assist for Solayman El Amri.
This Friday’s match has all the makings of an exciting encounter so please try to make it along if you can.
After our trip to Ruthin, our next game will be an eagerly anticipated trip to Holyhead Hotspur in the Welsh Cup on Friday 15 September (7.45pm kick-off). On Saturday 23 September, we will again be on our travels for a league match away to Caersws (2.30pm kick-off). We are organising a supporters’ coach for this game. Places will cost £20 and the bus will leave from Bangor Railway Station at 10am. To book your place, please contact Dave Roberts (07517 482182) as soon as possible. We will conclude our September fixtures with a league match at home to Gresford Athletic on Friday 29 September (7.30pm kick-off).
