On Tuesday 8 August at 7.30pm, we travel to Y Morfa in Conwy to face Llandudno in our first away league match of the season. A map showing the ground’s location can be found online here. Please aim to arrive early and car share if possible as the car park at the ground is likely tol fill up quickly.
Llandudno began their season just over two weeks ago with a 3-2 defeat away to Ruthin in the Nathaniel MG Cup. They conceded the opening goal just before the half hour mark, but were 2-1 ahead at half-time thanks to goals from Daniel Holland and Fabrizio Murtas. However, the hosts equalised with almost an hour played and scored a winner in the last ten minutes.
In their opening league match, Llandudno lost 2-1 away to Caersws on 29 July. As in Ruthin, Daniel Holland equalised after they had gone behind but another late goal meant that the Mid Wales team took all three points.
This Tuesday’s match will be the first time that we have faced Llandudno in a competitive encounter, although we did play a young Llandudno side in a friendly before the start of the 2022-23 season. Please make the trip along the coast to support our team at Y Morfa if you can.
After our trip to play Llandudno, our next game will be a league match against Denbigh Town at Nantporth on Saturday 12 August (2.30pm). For full information about our August matches, including a supporters’ bus being organised for our league trip to Mold on Saturday 19 August, please click here.
