On Saturday 18 March at 2.30pm, we are away to Hawarden Rangers in the league. It will be our first ever game at the Gladstone Playing fields (postcode CH5 3DL) and we are looking forward to the trip.
Hawarden Rangers were founded in 1974 and several highly illustrious players have turned out for the team’s youth sides before joining major professional teams. They include Barry Horne, Ian Rush, and Michael Owen.
Back in November 2022, we welcomed Hawarden to Treborth for a league cup tie that we won 4-1 following several late goals. Tom Clarke put us ahead ten minutes into the second half but the visitors equalised via Tom Gunson with twenty minutes left. Joe Culshaw put us back in front inside the final quarter hour before Ben Owen increased the lead with two minutes left. Tom Clarke added his second goal and our fourth in injury time.
Due to a series of postponements, Hawarden’s 3-1 win away to Rhostyllen on 28 January was their first game of 2023. In February they won away to Llandudno Albion and at home to Nantlle Vale but lost at home to Flint Mountain and Brickfield Rangers. So far this month, they have lost away to Llangefni but won away to Nantlle Vale.

After our game against Hawarden, we will complete our March fixtures by welcoming Saltney Town to Treborth on Saturday 25 March for a league game that kicks off at 2.30pm.
