On Saturday 28 January, we are at home to Trethomas Bluebids in the last-16 of the FAW Trophy. The game game kicks off at 2.30pm and will be our first ever encounter against a team from South Wales. We have reached the last-16 of the FAW Trophy following wins against Llay Welfare, Meliden, and Llanystumdwy.

Our oppponents the Bluebirds have reached this stage of the competition after wins against Undy AFC, Cardiff Aiport, and Marshfield AFC. In these three games, they have scored eleven goals and only conceded two. They play in the Ardal South East League and are currently third in the table after having won seven, drawn three, and lost three of their thirteen league games so far this season.

Since the start of the year, Trethomas have played three matches in the league. They have won at home to Caldicot Town and away to Chepstow Town, and began 2023 with a draw away to Lliswerry. Their last defeat in any competition was against Penydarren Seniors in the Welsh Cup and they are unbeaten in the league since 22 October. A tough game is in store at Treborth on Saturday.

As usual, we will be having a food bank collection at this weekend's game so would encourage supporters to make donations if they are able to do so. They Bangor Cathedral recently wrote to us to express their gratitude for the very kind contributions to our food bank collections and to let us know that your generosity is really making a difference.

At the clubhouse on Saturday, beers, soft drinks, and light refreshments will be available. Our merchandise stall will once again be there for fans wanting to stock up on Bangor 1876 souvenirs. Entry to the game will cost £4 for adults and £2 for concessions, and please remember that season tickets are not valid for the match due to it being in a cup competition. An exciting game awaits, so please come along to Treborth on Saturday if you can.
