Another league match at Treborth coming up

After a break last weekend, we make a return to league action this Saturday (9 October) when we will welcome Gwalchmai to Treborth. Please note that this match will start at the later than usual time of 3.30pm.

We have already faced Gwalchmai once this season, winning 4-0 away to the Anglesey side in the league on 28 August. A hat-trick from Les Davies and a further goal from Jamie Petrie secured the victory on a sunny afternoon. You can read our match report on this game here: https://www.bangor1876.com/news/les-davies-hattrick-in-win-at-gwalchmai-2642610.html.

Since that match, Gwalchmai have been involved in three league games against fellow Anglesey teams. They won 5-0 at home to Gaerwen, lost 4-2 at home to Bodedern, and won 3-0 away to Glantraeth. At the time of writing, they are tenth in the league.

Due to another event taking place at Treborth before our match, it would be helpful if supporters tried not to arrive before 2.15pm in order to minimise congestion on the access road to our ground. We have secured a drinks licence so you will be able to purchase a range of beers as well as soft drinks and light snacks.

At this Saturday’s game, volunteers from Save the Children will be having a bucket collection and we would like to encourage our fans to give generously.

After the game, the players will be going to Bar Uno on Bangor University’s Ffriddoedd Site. We have been delighted to work with the university in many ways since our foundation and look forward to furthering our links with them by using Bar Uno as our post-match venue. For information about how to find Bar Uno, please see: https://www.bangor.ac.uk/commercial-services/baruno.php.en.

After Saturday, our next game will be away to Penrhyndeudraeth on Saturday 16 October (2pm kick-off).
