FAW Trophy match at Treborth next for 1876

After a recent enforced break, we're delighted to let you know that we're back in action this weekend (Saturday 7 August) as we play our first ever match against Amlwch Town. We welcome the Anglesey side to Treborth for a match in the second round of the FAW Trophy. Please note that the match kicks off at the earlier than usual time of 2pm.

In the previous round, we won 4-0 away to Blaenau Ffestiniog in extremely hot conditions. Amlwch were also involved in an encounter featuring four goals in normal time in the same stage of the competition, drawing 2-2 at home to Glantraeth before winning 4-1 on penalties.

As we have managed to secure a drinks licence for the game on Saturday, we will be able to sell bottles and cans of beer from the refreshments hatch in the clubhouse. This will be in addition to the soft drinks and snacks that will be available from the gazebo. Due to Covid procedures, customers will only be able to go into the clubhouse one at a time and drinks must be consumed outside the clubhouse. As usual, spectators will not be allowed to consume alcoholic drinks within the fencing surrounding the pitch. We look forward to welcoming fans of both sides to what we hope will be an exciting cup tie.

Our next match after Saturday's game will be in the league away to Amlwch as we will travel to Lon Bach for a 7pm fixture on Wednesday 11 August. Please come along to cheer on 1876 home and away as your support makes a difference.
