"It's the supporters that make any club" says local artist

As we mentioned recently, Pete Jones will be working with us as an associate artist in an exciting development.

Within the last week, we shared a series of Pete's photos from our first ever season. We caught up with Pete to discuss these pictures and they represented. Here is what he had to say:

"This small series of images were an attempt to capture the community feel of a matchday at Treborth during the club’s first season. It's the supporters that make any club and Bangor 1876 has been built on that principle.

There are faces young and old (some, sadly, no longer with us) some faces who have been supporting football in Bangor for many years, throughout Wales, England and Europe.

One image shows the huge collection for a local foodbank - a sad reflection of our times that this was necessary but evidence of the club’s ambition to strengthen its links with the community and good causes. Hopefully the images give a glimpse of the warmth, humour and good spirit that pervades the club."

We look forward to working with Pete in the months ahead as we develop some exciting projects that will see the club, artists and the local community working together.
