Want to become a board member? Well this year you can!

We have now reached the point of the year where we, that is Bangor Football Supporters’ Society Ltd (BFSS Ltd), will be holding our AGM.

Welsh Government Covid-related announcements mean that we will be able to hold this year's AGM in the city centre. We can now confirm that the meeting will take place in Penrhyn Hall at 6.30pm on Tuesday 17 August. Naturally, our members will also receive an official AGM notice.

As usual the AGM offers our members the chance to receive the board’s annual report, scrutinise our annual accounts and the minutes of last year’s AGM.

This year's AGM has an added dimension because BFSS Ltd are also offering our members the chance to join the board.

In line with our rules three places on the elected board become vacant annually, therefore we are offering our members the chance to stand for one of the vacant places.

If you would like to be nominated for one of the vacant positions, just follow these three steps;

Either

1. Ask a committee member for a nomination form at a home match, then return it at a subsequent match.

Or

2. Send an email to Bangor1876enquiries@outlook.com that contains the following wording;

“ I am ____ (Insert Name here)_______ and I wish to be considered as a candidate for the 2021 election to the board of BFSS Ltd.
Proposed by _____ (Insert Name here)_____
Seconded by_____ (Insert Name here)_____”

3. Make sure the nomination contains both a proposer and a seconder that are current BFSS Ltd. Members (2021-’22 season). This applies to both methods of nomination submission.

Once a nomination has been submitted the nominee will be asked to submit a photo and a short description of themselves (no more than 100 words). The short descriptions and photos will allow us to create the “2021 BFSS Ltd Board Nominations” document . This document will allow our members to consider all nominees before they cast their votes.

If the idea of becoming an elected board member appeals to you then simply submit your nomination before 5pm on Monday 2nd August 2021.

After the closing date for nominations our members will have roughly a fortnight in which to cast their vote (Both in person vote and email votes will be accepted) and the result will be announced at the forthcoming AGM.

If you have any questions regarding this process please contact a committee member at a match or send an email to Bangor1876enquiries@outlook.com
