In December, Ysbyty Gwynedd’s mental health unit, Hergest, held a Christmassy evening, with the help of Bangor 1876, to bring some festive spirit to patients. The evening, organised by Health Care Assistant Gwyn Davies, included activities, entertainment and a meal from catering at the hospital.

Bangor 1876 have been extremely supportive of patient activities at the hospital and generously donated £125 to help fund the Christmas evening for patients. Glynne Roberts, Chairman of Bangor 1876, said: “We are currently working to develop a range of community-based wellbeing initiatives and, as a fan-owned club with a community focus, we were delighted to sponsor the event.”

Gwyn said: “The evening went really well, everybody loved having a Christmas event to go to. We’re really grateful to Bangor 1876 for helping us with the evening by donating £125, and also to Wynne Roberts, Welsh Elvis, for performing, and to catering for supplying us with a great meal.”
