On behalf of Vera Owen’s family, we published some details of the funeral arrangements which will take place at Bangor Crematorium on 8 January at 1.30 p.m. As they mentioned, anyone who wishes to pay their final respects to Vera is welcome to attend outside the Crematorium. We have also been told that it would be nice to see some people wearing Bangor shirts and scarves.

We are aware that many will want to pay their respects and may find it difficult to travel to the Crematorium, particularly if there is inclement weather, so you may find the following information useful.

The hearse bearing Vera’s body will leave Heol Dewi at 1.10 p.m. and travel through West End, up Station Road, and down Deiniol Road and Garth Road, and then up Beach Road to the Crematorium. You are welcome to stand to show your respects along the route and outside the Crematorium with social distancing rules, and regulations relating to funerals, applying.
